A few months ago I mentioned that we'd come across a little web tool known as Dr. Pic that is a great FREE alternative to owning a copy of Adobe Photoshop. You could resize, crop, and change the hue of your images among other things. I've been telling all of our clients about it since then, because Photoshop is not something that a lot of small businesses can afford right away.
Well folks, I just stumbled across another awesome tool known as Splashup! which can perform all the photo editing tasks that Dr. Pic does and much more. It's essentially a slightly dumbed-down version of Photoshop that loads in your browser, and again...it's completely free. The speed of this flash app is surprisingly fast (even faster than Photoshop at times), and it can integrate with many of the social networking sites that feature photo uploads like Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, etc. This is a real gem, and I wouldn't be surprised if Adobe makes a bid to buy them out soon. So Happy Thanksgiving to all of you Sitecats fans out there, and enjoy your free digital imaging with Splashup!
